Once in a Blue Moon
I hope you are enjoying these last weeks of summer before it’s time to bring out the sweaters and boots again. Things have been quietly busy around here as the seasons are beginning to change. Moving house, setting up tours, the earliest planning stages of a new record, and always, always the music – new songs, new arrangements, and the good friends with whom I am lucky to play.
All of our upcoming dates (including a week-long Northern California tour in September) can be seen by clicking here. We are looking forward to a couple of shows in October with a great band, Comas, at the Alberta Rose Theatre and Fremont Abbey Arts Center. Later that month, I’ll be joining Stu Mason and John Weed (both of Molly’s Revenge and Little Black Train) for a few shows in the Northwest and in California. November 4th has me on stage in support of Lúnasa in Portland, Oregon. Festivals, travel, recording, and the 34th Annual Magical Strings Celtic Yuletide Concerts to follow… It’s going to be a very fun autumn!
Colm MacCárthaigh got some lovely photos from our most recent Seattle concert and I’ve added them to a gallery of live photos taken over the last 4 years.
That’s probably enough for a Monday. Make sure to look up at the Blue Moon this Friday night if you can. I’ll see you out in the world soon, I hope.
