February Touring

Hello everyone,
The sun is just slipping behind the trees here on this last day of January and I hope you all have your scarves or bits of fabric hanging out on the tree for St. Brigid to bless overnight.... you never know when a headache or sore throat will settle in.

We're getting ready to head south for a week or so with Josephine County for shows in North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and Maryland so I hope if you're in the area we might see you.  And if you know of anyone in the area, we'd be delighted to see them as well!  For those of you in Maine, we're starting right here at home this Friday, Feb 2 at 6pm at Blue for an early set.

Feb 2  Blue - Portland, ME
Feb 16  Fiddle & Bow Society - Winston-Salem, NC
Feb 17  White Horse, Black Mountain - Black Mountain, NC
Feb 18  The Rooster's Wife - Aberdeen, NC
Feb 21  House Concert - Blacksburg, VA
Feb 22  House Concert - Elkins, WV
Feb 23  Mountain City Traditional Arts - Frostburg, MD

Had a great phone chat with Trevor last week and loads of progress is being made on the record in between his busy Lunasa schedule (they're also launching a brand new album at the moment).  It looks like I'll be heading back over in April to finish my parts and then we'll finish this journey and have the record out by late spring.  That's a year and a half in the making, but it'll be worth every day.  I'll let you know as soon as I have any news to share!

The Little Sea Folk Festival has some *very* exciting announcements to make in the next week so please head to littleseafolk.org and join the email list so you don't miss the news!  And make your plans to join us here in  Maine on June 30th.  Molly and Leopold are very excited to meet you all.

with love,
c
